Rocks + Cornerstones was built from experience, resilience, and a lifelong passion for building. Our founder grew up in Nigeria watching her mother expand and improve their home piece by piece. One day, she stepped outside, saw concrete being mixed for a slab foundation, and knew instantly: this is what I want to do.

Construction was never just a job — it was a calling.

Years later, after earning degrees in Architecture, Construction Management, and an MBA in Project Management, that childhood spark grew into a career. But R+C was truly born from a difficult moment — when a contractor hired to lead a project knew less than the person he was supposed to guide. That experience made something clear:
Never leave your fate in someone else’s hands when you have the knowledge, skill, and drive to build it yourself.

Starting in a recession and consulting wherever support was needed, project by project, R+C grew into the construction firm it is today. The journey hasn’t been easy — especially in an industry where a woman is often told she can’t or shouldn’t — but every challenge strengthened the foundation we now stand on.
